Our Minister - Rev. David R Fraser

David_and_Kathy.jpgDavid Fraser has been the Minister of KSCC since 2004.  English by birth, he was educated at Exeter and Oxford Universities where he prepared for the Ministry. His original pastorates were in England, firstly near historic Bath and then in the industrial city of Coventry. During those years he twice visited the USA to preach and to study church life.  Later he moved into management consultancy, which brought him back to the USA. He returned to full time ministry when he came to Kirkwood South. 

David describes himself as a Good News Preacher. His goal is to illuminate our life experiences with the light of scripture, enabling us to discover the liberating and uplifting power of God in our lives. 'A message which does not touch your life is not worth preaching' he says.  To this end, he frequently uses videos and other original visual aids to keep his messages down to earth. David and his wife, Kathy, invite you to become a part of their lively and growing ministry in Houston.

Marshall Smiley, Director of Youth and Family Ministries 
Starting February 1, 2010, Rev. Fraser has been joined in the Ministry of KSCC by Marshall Smiley, our new Director of Youth and Family Ministries.  Marshall is a full time student at Houston Baptist University, where he is studying in preparation for the Ministry.  He already has a degree in communications, and brings with him experience as a former Youth Pastor Intern at Grace Community Church as well as a stint as a radio disc jockey.  He resides in Alvin, TX.
